IBM needed a system of Sales Enablement documents that were visually engaging, easy to update and readable across multiple platforms. After contributing with designs for PPT and PDF, I was asked to adapt the look & feel for the web.
IBM uses a framework called Northstar, with specific instructions around grids, styles, UI components and overall functionality, so the new designs had to be in line with those parameters. The mobile version (4. Small) required extra attention due to its limited size vs. amount of content to be displayed.
One of the main challenges about creating responsive layouts for templates is the variability of content. Even though instructions for character limit were defined, the design system still has to take account for different sizes of content.
